I think of it more like windsurfing... use the waves to add fun where catching the very top or bottom isn't needed to have a ton of fun (or make a ton of risk adjusted profit) using the power of the wave. The only thing different is the rise of sea level is on an epic scale compared with our short lives but the rise of the stock market is just simple inflation at a much faster pace.
