Robert, A question or two regarding the theories expressed about the new client, who works FULL TIME as an employee as an engineer.
.
A trader is someone who is engaged PRIMARILY in the speculative activity of seeking short-term market swings from which he derives MOST OF HIS INCOME. See Liang v. Comr.
.
What causes you to seek trader status (presumably the first year from this new client) when his PRIMARY Occupation and likely MOST of his INCOME is derived working as an employee engineer?
.
Secondly, how does a full-time engineer have the time and opportunity to closely follow the Markets to partake in day-to-day and hour-to-hour price swings in stocks?
.
Thanks!! This could be of great interest and value to our fellow S.I. members!
.
Colin

I will be happy to answer questions about TRADER STATUS for FREE.

Before you pay ROBERT GREEN.... talk to me first. By the way, he's been sending me private messages trying to stop me from criticising his Trader Status posts, which I still believe are very misleading and are being used to drum up business.... a point of view I would be happy to support for anyone who asks. CAVEAT EMPTOR on this one folks.
