Michael,

I believe it is and continues to be very difficult to tell where the company really is because the balance sheet continues to change so rampant each quarter with new selling and buying of different parts of DCTC. Last quarter really did not appear great from actual operations, but with the SMTK deal factored in, DCTC showed a good overall EPS. While I know this was explained as startup cost for Cyberfax and DCI UK. WHAT ABOUT THIS QUARTER COMING UP? Will this also happen again when the 3Q results come out this week or will it be obvious that without the deals, CYBERFAX and DCI UK did produce significant revenues with well managed expenses. I believe if we see this type of performance indicated in the balance sheet then the floodgates may open. While to me revenues of a company are great, IMO investors still are very interested to see if the companies management can streamline expenses and show Earnings. While I know others on here believe "REVENUES" are the big ticket, I still feel earnings and more importantly Earning Per outstanding share are what will make a stock go through the roof, especially one on the OTC BB like DCTC.

Hence I believe it is the lack of the above that has kept DCTC from rocketing through all of the recent great news. Just My Opinions, but I think many are still waiting to see significant improved performance even with all the constant change. Hence my belief on this stock as posted three months ago remains long term. So if Joe Murphy can show big progress in Revenues which then corresponds in Net Income and EPS in the near term or within 6 months then I think we will see this bust out. While I realize this all ignores DCTC being sold sometime in the future, I am currently discussing present activities and ongoings. As others post, I am counting on the above and plan to hold my shares long.....

i agree that long term the price is dictated by sales and earnings...
but short term we need the price of the stock higher so we can aquire companies like worldpass for fewer shares...i'm sure u agree with that
unless we don't have any deal in the works that requires dctc stock...
and like joe said price stability will bring further investors(like myself) who plan to buy once stock forms good base--probably right here around 2.
also there is the listing...do we need to be at a certain price for that?

nice to see u back on the thread mjz

MJZ:

I don't quite understand your reluctance to support the stock buyback. The money used to buy stock at this price is not being thrown away. I assume the repurchased stock will be used for further deals. The announcement which introduced the buyback program stated that DCI management believed the stock to be currently undervalued. Do you agree with this assessment? If so, then it would seem to be a good strategy to buyback your own company stock: 1) Assuming the stock price does go up, the $5 million investment could easily be worth $10 million or more in several months; 2) This provides some security and stability to the stock price which may entice some lurkers to take a position; 3) This makes a strong public statement regarding the management's outlook for the future. Overall, it seemed like a sound strategy to me. I admit that I don't have all the information, but there are certainly some supportable justifications.

I have a second concern that I want to raise. I'm a bit puzzled by your public statements regarding your dissent over DCI's strategy (i.e. your disagreement with Joe's decision to conduct a buyback). You are, of course, welcome to your opinion on any issue, and I assume that you have discussed this matter with Joe. However, once the decision has been made, I question whether this public forum is the right place for you to express your dissent. I can't recall an instance where I observed one company official publicly denouncing an ongoing company policy so publicly (except where there was some misconduct involved). I would be interested to know why you feel compelled to express your views about DCI policy on this forum? I don't mean any disrespect, but this does seem quite unusual to me.

Michael, I see you were not "kidding" back there in your reply to me. We seem to see eye-to-eye on this buy-back. I'll say this because you shouldn't :- I hope "top mgmt" rethinks their "folly" (g) and cancels the buy-back FOR THE TIME BEING.
.
I do not like a bought-out party, flipping his "easy money shares" back to OUR COMPANY and draining our resources of needed cash... CASH that Joe & Company have PROVEN they can utilize elsewhere very well, thank you.
.
Now I'm outta here before "the marines" get me in their cross-sites (g)
