I agree Israel has suppressed Gaza,

I just wonder who had to give the final approval for Hamas to go forward knowing their actions would have extreme reactions. A Trap certainly seems likely. Now it seems likely to be a lot of innocent people killed and who is to blame like the hospital hit today.

I hear a lot of discussions that Israel potential improved relations with the Saudi was a catalyst.

BBC Mar 10: bing.com

Middle East regional rivals Iran and Saudi Arabia have agreed to restore diplomatic relations, seven years after severing them in a bitter row.

The unexpected announcement came after four days of talks between officials from both sides in China.

Saudi Arabia cut ties in January 2016 after demonstrators stormed its embassy in Tehran following Riyadh's execution of a prominent Shia Muslim cleric.

Tensions between the Sunni and Shia-led neighbours have since often been high.

They regard each other as a threatening power that seeks regional dominance. They also support rival sides across the Middle East, including in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq - and most overtly in Yemen.

Iran has supported Shia Houthi rebels who forced out the Saudi-backed government in 2014, while Saudi Arabia has led a devastating air campaign against the Houthis since the following year.

Saudi Arabia has also accused Iran of helping the Houthis attack it.

In the most serious incident of its kind, drones and missiles struck major Saudi oil facilities in 2019, causing damage and disruption to production. Saudi Arabia and its US ally blamed Iran for the attack - something Iran denied.

Previous attempts at reconciliation have been unsuccessful, but on Friday the two countries said they would reopen embassies within two months. They will also re-establish trade and security relations.

The US cautiously welcomed the announcement. White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the administration supported "any effort to de-escalate tensions in the region". But he added: "It really does remain to be seen if Iran is going to meet their obligations."

To My Friends and Loved Ones,

No one ever wants to wake up on a Saturday morning to a thousand dead Jews in the street. Anywhere.

SHAME!

I still have not been able to process this and I still can’t believe this is the world I live in. I was born 8+ years after the Holocaust. And now I sit and wait for the mass slaughter of Palestinians, a Semitic tribe, cousins to Jews.

Not one Palestinian helped build Auschwitz.

Not one Palestinian led a Spanish Inquisition.

Not one Palestinian in New York City turned away a boatload of Jewish refugees trying to dock here to escape the Nazis — and not one Palestinian escorted those Jews back to their death in Germany.

And yet they, the Palestinians, will now be exterminated like something less than insects by the descendants of the very people who have suffered one extermination attempt after another for 5,784 years! Cousins! Cease! The Madness!

History repeats. America went through the same thing with mass immigration of European settlers, the government giving away free land with the Homestead Act, and the resulting violence between the government and the settlers against the Native American Indians. As with the Native American Indians, the Israeli laws, courts, and police work against the Palestinians. The Israelis repeatedly broke agreements with the Palestinians, just like the US agreements with the Native American tribes. Unlike the Native American tribes, private ownership rights are recognized in Palestine and the Israelis resorted to violence to coerce the owners to abandon their land and sell to the Israelis. Before the creation of the Israeli state in 1948-1949, they were illegally building settlements under the British mandate and the British tried to clear them out.

The US did away with the Homestead Act many years ago. The same should be done with the Homestead Initiative in Israel. Their policies of redlining to create purely Jewish communities and blockbusting Arab communities through intimidation are illegal here.

As in the US under the Homestead Act, Israel has created a corrupt violent situation with poor people coming into Israel expecting to get a free home, healthcare, and other benefits under the Aliyah program.
