I haven't added much to CEF's in the Older Folk Portfolio of late. The discounts to NAV have been widening to the point that I thought it was time to add to those selling at a steep discount.

Since we are getting 5%+ in MM Funds, I usually require a 9% minimum yield to offset the risk of owning CEF's. The payoff needs to be worth it. I did add to one CEF with a yield under 9% but it's a long-term held position and it was either sell it or add to it and I chose to add to it.

I added a significant amount of cash today into the following:

BSTZ .. 14.13% yield
FTHY .. 12.25%
BGB ... 11.68%
RFI ..... 11.53%
ARDC .. 11.11%
BCAT .. 10.65%
ETV .... 10.27%
ETW ... 10.01%
EVT ..... 9.55%
BDJ ..... 9.12%
ETO .... 8.30%

These moves increased the annual income by more than $1,800.
