More IL Chatter

I've been studying PERI's chart, which brings up an IL question: what to expect when the IL is being approached and the ACT is still poorly defined.

PERI dropped from 22 in 7/97 to quadruple bottom at 8 in Dec-Jan, then took off like a shot on high volume.

It is certainly possible to draw a ACT based on the lows of 1/30 - 2/3, but without lower lows surrounded by higher lows, I am not confident of the line.

The IL is at 12.2 or so by my drawing and PERI closed at 11.75 on 2/13.

My guess is that PERI will bounce off the IL and come back to a lower low which will then define the ACT(this may be a good entry point). Because of the earliness of the IL it won't take so long to recover. Does the early flirtation with the IL indicate PERI could have potential for attitude later on?

Good luck with AKRN today..

Ocote

Doug

could you take a look at SRSL for me after close today. looks like it is breaking out of a ascending triangle. Earnings out today beat street by .01 for the quarter and was .01 shy for the year.

Thanks
David

Doug:

You may want to add another "L" to IL... To describe what happens to a stock when it hits the IL... It becomes "ILL" and needs time to recover.... : >

You might want to refer to this period as the (CSC) "Chicken Soup Cycle" : >

Nice to have you back... : >

Doug and All;

I initiated a short position in VVUS today at 13 1/4. Seems to be a lot of uncertainty about the future of this company now that Pfizer will be releasing it's own impotence drug very soon (just check the VVUS threads on SI). Earnings are not due until sometime in March and they are expected to post a loss, so I see nothing in the immediate future that will move the price up. Money flow and BOP have been steadily decreasing (although not outright negative yet). Seems like a perfect scenario for this one to revisit it's lows and form a double bottom. I expect to cover at around 10 within 1-2 weeks unless circumstances dictate otherwise. If anyone has any comments about this move either pro or con, I'd like to hear them.

Hank

Doug,
Could you tell me where the IL is on INTAF? Its recent news doesnt give enough fundamental insight to see where it may be heading. Sergio suggested I ask you.

Thank-you!
