I favor monthly giving because it helps to sustain the organization. But of course, everyone knows what they can afford. I can understand if someone held off till the end of life and left bequests. That way they'd wait till they knew they didn't need the money any longer.


Where does charitable giving rank wrt the goodness or worth of a person?


That depends on one's values. I'm sure Ayn Rand would have a different opinion than most, she wrote a book entitled the Virtue of Selfishness. She said that altruism was bad.

Clearly those who toot their own horn about donating are above those who don't toot their horn.

And everyone knows that liberals and other non-religious people hate donating. They only do it because organized religions invented it.

Seems weird though since Jesus was a liberal social activist.
