I switched because when Schwab bought TD they decided to kill the SSE platform and switch to TOS.

TOS has much more charting power than SSE but it's trading is more clumsy. TOS does have a chart trader which I like but I don't like the way it does options. That could be just me still learning the system. It has size defaults set that take time to change in a different window. The first time I used it I didn't notice this and went to sell a cover call and it rejected the order. Because its default size was larger than my stock size.

But it didn't tell me the order was rejected. The position just never showed up.
