I think that people - or groups (what they used to call “trusts”) trying to manipulate the markets - is part of the “normal” market life. Like, when a few years ago, a crowd of retail traders was able - by buying calls and triggering short squeezes - to drive the price of Game Stop to the sky.

I have on doubt it is not an experiment being tested.

It has been the MODUS OPERANDI since Wall street was organized.
