We've got tons of supermarkets now, but if I want really good meat I go to a butcher. Except for pork; what you get at the super is just as good (and it's very good indeed).

Poultry shops offer a better product, too, but it's a good deal more expensive, as it's not factory raised.

One weird thing: the chickens. Or rather the separately packaged chicken breasts. An entire breast can weigh as much as a kilo (2.2 pounds), even a little more. Really I'd hate to run into one of these birds in a dark alley.

Though perhaps TLC could offer enlightenment here. Bawk?
