Yes, that's how he did it. How would he do it now though? I assume you are going to find or are finding stocks similar to what he scoured the market for, and repeat his steps.

I'd be interested to see his firms's capital gains tax payments. His numbers are large, so he's gotta be at the 20% long term tax rate on each sale. Weren't capital gains taxes a lot higher than 20% in the 60's and 70's?

I don't see how any big boy investor can pay 20% taxes on profits, and do anywhere close to 50% without some miracles happening.
