T Your missing one of the big advantages of most heat pumps. Air conditioning at the flick of a switch when the refrigerant reversing valve kicks in. I knew that AGW was only going to get worse with more greenhouse gases being dumped into the atmosphere many years ago well before I installed my heat pump. When we blasted thru the old record of 103 at the turn of the century and hit 108 to a new high temp record in late June of 2021 here in the Seattle area it was priceless. More and more of my neighbors here learned a sweltering, painful lesson. The reality of AGW sunk in really fast. And of course I'm not dumping pollutants into the atmosphere like every fossil fueled furnace does! Zero emissions. Totally sustainable. E
