Hmmm,

Trying to rewrite history are you.

The first recorded infection in the U.S. was a U. S. citizen returning from China in January of 2020 landing at SeaTac just a few miles from where I live.

He was admitted to Providence hospital in Everett, Wa. He had a tough go but managed to survive. He was young. Doctors realized immediately this was a different infection than they had ever experienced but was immediately put into extreme isolation with special protocols.

A few months later bodies were stacking up in the Seattle area as hospitals overflowed with COVID-19 patients and deaths. The morgues filled up as well as all the funeral homes.

Then the wave of infections hit the New York city hospitals. Maxed out beds and staff of all hospitals working overtime. People returning from Europe infected only added to the death rates.

Deaths mounted and within a few months the same problem Seattle faced hit the country.

Maxed out morgues, funeral homes and the necessity of getting refrigerated semis to handle the overload!

It only got worse from there until vaccines became available in December.

It must be nice living on an isolated island, away from the masses.

And even as we know those Covid numbers are way too high. Even most of the legit Covid deaths could have been prevented if doctors were allowed to actually be doctors and not just mindless drones following orders

BC,
I guess you can't simply tell us the actual death rate.
I can. In 2020, before the vaccines were available, the actual death rate was around 2.8% among the reported cases:

Message 32966143
214,629 deaths/ 7,638,596 cases =2.80979% death rate.
After the vaccines were released, the death rate started dropping. Now it's 1% among the reported cases, as you stated.

That's actually a BFD.
