You have a fair point about the board being too chummy with Musk. But I have to ask, if they are so bad, why aren't being voted out?

TSLA is Musk. A big chunk of TSLA's value is because Musk is its CEO. If you removed him and hired another CEO, I bet you that the stock would tank.

Now I am the last person to advocate for too cozy of a relationship between the board and the CEO and accept old boy networks. So in principle, you are right. But my point remains that Musk delivered what was by all accounts impossible. Exceptional results deserves exceptional rewards, no?
