I am squarely in the soft landing camp with the stocks going higher with hiccups along the way. You will prolly get a more timely read on the semis by following South Korea's ISM.

The problem the market is facing now is not that there is a risk of a recession. The issue is that the market is well ahead of itself. They priced the bonds for cuts beginning in March and priced the stocks based on the bonds.

But Powell is saying that not only there won't be any cuts in March, and even not that likely in May, but the Fed will likely have fewer cuts this year than the market has priced in and that he might even hold the rates till a couple of months before the elections.

This has to hit the markets hard once they parse it properly.
