Some of us have been saying all our lives that individuals know how to best spend our money, especially compared to corrupt politicians who are now ALL corrupt because of their need to raise campaign funds to get and keep power. The government didn't decide to build roads or throw money at some pet project. Instead they literally dropped bags of money and let the people decide what to do with it There is actually a party that has that as a main platform, Libertarian. The only difference is we save money (and CO2 emissions) on helicopter fuel by not having to drop what they already have.
