We have a fundamentally different perspective here. Not that I approve of illegal immigration - not at all. But I think it's become a clown show and a way to distract and mislead the public.

I bet you that if you shutdown every business that hired a illegal immigrant, the problem would rapidly wind down. But you never hear any talk of that side of the equation and everyone debates cartoonish solutions like building a wall. Why is that? Because neither the businesses nor the government want to shut it down.

Why not? Because I personally think it is one of those things that is net positive but is not politically easy to talk about. So they prefer to turn a blind eye to it. And I hate that kind of thing. As I said in an earlier post, it is important that laws be enforced (and be changed if they cannot be enforced). As it is, the immigration issue is a sham to distract the public. If you really want it gone, shut down every business that hires an illegal immigrant.
