White House press secretary Mike McCurry expressed regret over an
interview with the Chicago Tribune in which he said he does not expect
there will be ''a simple, innocent explanation'' to allegations
President Clinton had an affair with a White House intern. McCurry
explained the remarks as a lapse in his sanity.
