Tucker has gone over to the Russians. I doubt he will be in Brumar89 good books now -g-

I reluctantly left the USA. The principle reason was my kids education. When we got back to the UK we put them into bad schools to help let them catch up a little, and they did well in the end.

When it comes to Maths Physics & Chemistry, Russian students do well, as does China, India, and a number of countries and that is what Andrei Martyanov rattles on about.

These kind of comparisons can be irritating to listen to, but worthwhile if a competitive stance with another nation is to be considered.

After WW2 the USA was streets ahead of anyone in technology and manufacturing. The seeds had been sown of it's demise though and this is what Deming (USA) spent a good deal of time to try and fix.

Deming's work covers every sort of human organisation, (imho) including government. I am no expert or professional in the matter though.

Our (UK, USA) biggest advantage over a number of countries was our innovation and ability to change stemming from Free Speech and democratic system of government. Sadly to be tossed away with hardly a second thought about the matter.... and for what utterly stupid brain dead reasons ?
