Starr seeks quick access to Foster notes

WASHINGTON - Whitewater prosecutor Kenneth Starr urged the Supreme Court on Tuesday to allow him to get notes from a meeting between the late White House aide Vincent Foster and a lawyer shortly before Foster's suicide in 1993. Foster met with attorney Jim Hamilton and discussed the Clinton White House purging of its travel office staff. Starr wants the notes so he can determine if first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton played a role in the firings. But Hamilton took his case to the high court in an attempt to block Starr, claiming the documents are protected by attorney-client privilege.
