ZDR, Apple Car project dies I saw this earlier today. I was never really sold on the Apple Car. I thought the startup costs would be prohibitive and the liability of a car that "misbehaves" would just be too high. But it was probably a good exercise to go through to understand how the phone should interact with cars. It will be interesting if something is in the next iPhone that takes advantage of the R&D that the car project produced. A car is probably too far away from core competencies for Apple anyway. Stock may get beaten up for a few days as analysts take any car revenues out of their long term forecasts.
