Zero deflection.

For something to move a force is needed. Then it accelerates.

If it moves at the acceleration of gravity, it means there was nothing stopping it from moving in the downwards direction. .

Therefore every single steel column started falling at the speed of gravity at the same moment, give or take a few milliseconds. If they didn't one or more of them would have created a resisting force.

Steel columns weakened from fires, melted, or whatever. Every single SOB column started falling at the acceleration of gravity at the same time.

Get a high school physics student explain it to you if needed.

Mar 27, 2008March 27, 2008. Larry A. Silverstein, who has won nearly $4.6 billion in insurance payments to cover his losses and help him rebuild at the World Trade Center site, is seeking $12.3 billion in ...

You won't get out of bed without a motive to do so.
The man behind the rebuilding of 9/11's Ground Zero | Reuters

Developer Larry Silverstein signed a $3.2 billion 99-year lease on New York's World Trade Center six weeks before the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001. He recalls the smoldering ruins of the Twin Towers ...

++++++++

He made 1.5B in a leverage lease deal. A 99 year lease is basically an option.

In fact, the WTC was valued at $8B and he bought the 99 year lease foe a paltry

$125m down paymenrt.

12m becomes $4.6 billion!

Now THAT's motivation!
