The Japanese have established a culture of non-violent economic competition. They are the only country to have suffered at the hands of an enemy from atomic weaponry. Their voice of objection to Iraq's possessing weapons of mass destruction should be heard. They wave the flag every year over ground zero in Hiroshima. That is symbolic nothingness if they will not take a stance regarding Sadam's WMD material. I am perhaps a bit critical of Japan because of their rampant bigotry towards other nations, but I think this lack of resolve on their part is a valid argument for my case.

I think we are being lead by a morally corrupt President on a reckless and poorly thought out military campaign. The manuals of war theory are littered with similar examples of how NOT to do it. He should not have this power. Congress must wrest this from him. The War Powers act and the Tonkin Gulf resolution should not be cast in concrete. It should take an almighty effort to get us to move to war. But then by god we should go and go with all our might. Not do some Saturday night special made for TV type thing.
