Calvin,

Excellent post. This company's stock will turn when it becomes a consistently profitable. And yes I realize they've had 3 quarters in a row of solid numbers but they also pissed some MM's off about a year ago. It takes some time to re-establish trust and Wall Street is making them earn it. Three quarters of profitability shows some promise. My feeling is that if CRUS can put one more quarter together of solid numbers, the stock will begin its move toward 20.

If people are buying CRUS because some guy named Teo is in, that's their gamble.

Question #1. What is the reason for his accumulation?

Question #2. Is CRUS such a good stock to own at this time that TEO just can't resist?

Question #3. Are there not any better buys on the street than CRUS to invest this kind of money in?

Question #4. Are we to think that he has no game plan and that he just likes CRUS?

Question #5. Would we all feel better if the following were "sells" instead of "buys"?

Calvin (glad we're no longer so formal :)

Thanks for the response. This sounds far more reasonable and more in line with what I was thinking.

I can see that Mark and Michael were merely trying to point out the Mr. Teo has a good track record for buying undervalued companies which is what we all think we are doing with CRUS. I don't think anything sinister was afoot and I appreciate their input.

Hopefully we can get back to what we all like to be do which is a discussion of CRUS products and prospects.

John

>>Share holders like you and me account for less then 5% of the total outstanding shares.<<

Calvin, 5% seems very low. Total outstanding shares amount to a little over 70 Mil. and 5% of that is only 3.5 Mil. Can that be right?

Back in Oct. 97 according to Baron's TEO owned approximately 7.1% of CRUS' stock. With his new purchases and no sales this percentage continues to move up. I have not added all the purchase but I now believe (I said I believe . . not know) he owns more shares than Hackworth. At the time when he owned 7.1% the only other MMs were Merrill, FMR, Twentieth Century, and T. Rowe Price that had filed Form 13D's with the SEC, a required form for any group owning 5% OR MORE stock in a company. In your post you said. . .

>>But, unless he has a coalition with one of the major MMs holding 15% - 20% or more of the shares, he is reduced to a small voice.<<

I have never seen a 13D filed for a group that owns 15% - 20%. I know of no group that holds this stock position CRUS.

Some time back you wrote the following post to me:

>>Richard, your comments are well taken and make some very good points. But, for what it is worth, word at Cirrus is that Mr. Teo is "just" a thorn in their sides. I like outside thorns, it keeps everyone honest. Everyone has to remember though that the stockholders prior to and up until now are mainly MMs. I do believe that Mr. Teo, with his investment, is now an MM (at least in CRUS). Yes, most of what I stated in my post is opinion based on some inputs. But I really really like the fact that we have someone of Mr. Teo's credentials in the fight with us.<<

I take it that you still appreciate the fact that TEO is still in the fight with us?

Calvin, I'm not trying to put you under the microscope or asking you to write a book. I respect your posts and am just looking for a little clarification. Thanks.

>>BARRON'S this week on page 40 "13D filing" under increase in holding:

Alfred teo own 4,769,500 shares (7.1%) as a result of purchases of 780,000 shares from Aug 27 to Oct 2 at $14.25-17.50 per share.<<
