The DNC has to get behind Biden/Harris, I don’t think they have a choice unless Biden withdraws for health reasons. Then Harris will have to run. Or do I understand US political system wrong? They have to go with Biden and lose if he loses, they have no choice. Inflation coming down works for him. The middle class has it up its ass since 1950s but more so since the Soviet Union block collapsed and the labor scare collapsed with it. Former communist countries made a huge influx of cheap labor.

Good post, Rarebird. I think this part of your post highlights exactly what the Democrats need to do to make up for Brandon's low approval numbers:
Since the Left has no response for those who have been left behind, their mode of attack is to destroy Donald Trump.
This is key.

The Democrats need to acknowledge everything you mentioned in your post.

They need to understand that the current economic recovery truly is "Wall Street's Gain, Main Street's Pain."

They need to go out there and empathize with people who find the cost of living astronomically high, or couples who both work hard but are afraid they can't afford children, or working-class people who don't like paying through the nose for gas (or an EV for that matter), or union workers who feel completely abandoned and feeling the pressures to join the Trump bandwagon.

I think a Bill Clinton or a Barack Obama would have easily been able to do that empathy thing.

Brandon could have as well back during his prime, but he is very old and diminished these days. Worse yet, he is hemmed in by his own staff, and he is completely unable to take charge of his own campaign.

One more thing: Brandon and the Democrats really need to throw the "woke" under the bus, except when it comes to abortion, sorry, "reproductive rights."
