Actually. China is very competitive with the USA in filing patents and Baidu has been working on ai for several years now. I added more BIDU and more CLF today on the 10% haircut. The london stock market does appear undervalued compared to its GDP but I dont know the companies there that well.

I didnt say quickly as I dont know how long it will take investors to realize that china and companies like baba and baidu are here to stay. China GDP is substantial now and very high relative to the market cap of Chinese companies.

BABA-BiDU see my post from april 2024. BABA is David Tepper of Apaloosa biggest position and close to being mine as well. I just read that Chinese are jumping back into their market with both fists. new accounts are being opened like crazy. Money that would normally might be going into real estate will be going into the stock market now. 5 years ago BABA was selling at $150 before reaching a high of $300. it looks like the most recent top in the stock was $120. I think that it would not take a whole lot for that level to be breached to the upside .and if US investors stop drinking the koolaid of " china not being investable" I expect BABA to move back to at least what it was 5 years ago. I also believe that BABA which was previously going to IPO some of its subsidiaries , will likely revisit that given the abrupt change in government policy and chinese sentiment..
