I think, Bob, something like this below is of value. In a glance, you see what sectors are strong - and which it’s better to go easy on. Most of the time, for some years now, I run a relative strength chart on the StockCharts comparing various choices with SPY. The idea is - if they’re not as strong as SPY, why invest there? Unless there is another attraction involved, like dividends.

(And, of course, SPY itself needs to be in an uptrend (meaning, outperforming cash)

This one is a curious tool - the same thing, but shows the entire field.
