Hi, Carol!! Yes, it is El Nino that is pounding the West Coast. In fact, I heard today on the news that it now might be MAY before the storms end. While I am renting, and do not have the fear of losing several hundred thousand dollars in a mudslide, I do prefer to stay where I am, so the fact that my patio is cracking and the yard is sinking at the corner is of some concern to me, since I live high on a terraced hillside. I am sure you have seen the scary pictures on your news, of what is happening to some California houses. And obviously, I will become quite an expert on mold if it rains several more months. I guess I should find out which mushroom species bring the most enlightenment, in a Native American way, and sprinkle some spores around the bedroom. You know, it is really funny about Phillipe Candeloro. I thought he was very sexy at the last Olympics, four years ago, and then he went totally out of my mind until this one. Why is it that rogue Frenchmen are so sexy?? Stojko, in my opinion, is too short and stocky, and perhaps too insecure about his masculinity, to do the really graceful moves. His body would not do those moves very effectively, anyway. But I do think he was extremely brave, and I think that if he had done a couple of quad jumps, it is hard to say who would have won. Who designs Ilya's costumes, anyway? In my opinion, he won in spite of them!!! I do hope Michelle wins the ladies' competition. I do not like Tara at all. To me, she represents everything about younger and younger athletes competing at inappropriate levels. I don't think it is good for young teenagers, and she has none of the flowing sexuality which makes the best skaters express their artistry so beguilingly. Chrissy P.S. What kind of trouble have you been getting into, lately?
