That would be doing _$XVG and makes only pennies on the difference.

The key point here is that over a 30 year period, the median stock went nowhere and you'd have been better off putting your money in a bank.

Generations of people have lost money to the marketing scam that stocks go up over the long run. They don't. SPX has gone up over time because it is actively managed via both fundamental and technical parameters.
