My take - It is very clear that Biden is trying buy votes. The most charitable way to put it is that in a democracy people vote for the politician who supports them the best and Biden is doing that. This, imo is a stretch. On the other hand, every other president has done something similar. Let's not forget that it was Trump who initiated the lockdowns and the helicopter money.

As to Trump, he is not fit for the office. I agree with you that he has some good ideas and some of them, such as auctioning H1B visas were really good. But I don't want to get into his policies and ideas which would be a very long debate. Trump is not fit for the office because his White House was a revolving door full of backstabbing snakes. It leaked more than sieve. Anyone who cannot hire competent staff and manage them well is not fit to lead. It is as simple as that. It would be like having a general who can't hire and march competent troops. It doesn't matter how "great" of a strategist that general is, inability to lead the troops disqualifies him.
