I understood what you meant. I just don't understand why you think senators, supreme court judges, etc are not humans and have descended from the heavens with invisible wings and harps. Because if you believe they too are human, then you must accept that they are subject to the same self deceptions and weaknesses that the rest of us are. And therefore the system must minimize the number of ways that they could fail in their duties.
