Phil, Hi -- I've been lurking in the background for a while. Recently , I asked Samantha Cramer at PFG about the possibility of Barrick selling out of the Diablillos property. Her more-or less verbatim comments follow below, and provide considerable food for thought:

---
...We have discussed these questions at length. There is no way we can predict the market's reaction. In my experience, the market seems to react in a knee jerk manner at first, so we may see a negative reaction to Barrick's decision that the property is not a large enough gold project for them. That said, I think the majority of more sophisticated investors can easily see the value that Diablillos represents proportionally for Pacific Rim as compared to Barrick. [...] I think that in light of the coverage that we have
received in the financial community, a small initial dip will be countered by a greater gain. That said, who knows. We may simply rocket if people fully digest the reality immediately.

We have also spent a lot of time developing contingency plans [...] as the variables present themselves.

We have had interest from other majors, but since no action is being taken at the moment it is a courtesy to leave them unnamed. We also have the expertise to develop the property alone.
