Hey Larry,

PC's are cheap, but it's not Microsoft's fault. They're jacking up prices in the face of increasing volume, like a good monopoly should.

Please keep believing this and those of us that like (and invest in the company) can keep agreeing with you all the way to the bank.

Keep believing what?

And no I do not consider Microsoft (or its investors) in any way the same as drug dealers. In fact the analogy is ludicrous.

Many ludicrous analogies get thrown around here, like the Chrysler car radio. Take up the drug dealer thing with Reggie.

Cheers, Dan.

Yes, it probably is since Microsoft makes twice as much as drug dealers do on the dollar (55-33%). Then you have that expense of bribes and drive by shootings. Drugs are expensive because of all the middle men taking their cut.

It was Sal who used the word "ruthless".

Actually, I find this article very interesting:
news.com

Besides, the main future of Java is on the server, not the
client.

Maybe Microsoft DOES
GET IT!!!

No, it's not MSFT that gets it, it is the PC hardware vendors. But in any case, WinTerms are not a very good multi-user solution because of their network overhead and the fact that the application still has to run on the server.
