Boy, that Covington is really gonna suck. Check out the URL below and scroll down to Intel. What does Erika Klauer know about CPU chips? Probably nothing. Fortunately, I know a lot about computer architecture, design, performance, testing and applications, and Covington is going to be fine for a lot of applications. I know it's stop-gap, but it's perfect as a bridge to PII with regard to testing the PII core for compatibility with P5 for all software one might be currently running on P5, UL and FCC qualification of PII packaging, and many other qual. testing one needs to do as an OEM before shipping to customers. As before, I wouldn't touch AMD or Cyrix products with a ten foot pole, or two five foot Lithuanians. Apologies in advance to Poles and Lithuanians, but those two wannabees (AMD and Cyrix) have serious production problems and one of them has serious reliability problems.
