i had a rather lengthy conversation with splash management yeterday, in which they really have nothing but positives to say. their product line is as strong as ever, except for the uncertatinty of asia which is an unknown but their market is still growing rapidly and they will grow by 20-30% this year. their pe is 15x trailing. that is an out and out joke. i am told robertson stephens issued a report and went to a buy. the q1 comparisons are 16 mil in revs and .26 per share in income. even with oem buying patterns indicating a slowdown in the march quarter, the company is still well positioned. from what i am told, 1999 is the big year when color copies become mainstream and hit the sweet spot in the market. while asp to splash should decline, unit sales thru xerox should explode. i am happy to hold this stock for 2 years. all the fears are overblown, and there has been big buying in the stock recently. good luck in your trading.

Agreed - current price is amazing (low)

As a strong proponent of both SPLH,and a previous investor in SPLH (see thread beginnings, if you care) I see long term ownership in SPLH a very wise investment move.

However, near term profit takers, IMHO, will overcome buyers. Small float will lead to lower prices as traders, bottom fishers are shaken out. Once news dissipates, and new buying opportunities present themselves, double bottom, yet not as low as previous low will be seen, then steady albeit slow rise. Asia, loss in last qtr (even though it was attributable to write-off for recent acquisition) will shake out weak hands and delay buys for those performing DD. Low demand with small float will lead to lower prices.

I will buy again at $2-$3 points above my original purchase in 1996.

This current price is simply unwarranted for a proven Co. of this quality, doing business at these levels, making this kind of revenue, at this stage in its development.

IMHO

Stephen

Ram,

I couldn't find refernce to the insider buying you mentioned for SPLH. Could you please source this? Also, do you know when earnings for Q2 come out? Watching this one closely and ready to pounce!

Luck to all,
David
