Splash Technology Announces Revenue and Earnings for Fiscal
1996

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 15, 1996-- SPLASH TECH HLD announced
financial results for its fourth quarter and 1996 fiscal year, ended September 30, 1996.

Revenue for the fourth quarter was $16.4 million, up 62% from $10.1 million recorded in the fourth
quarter last year. Operating income increased 427% to $5.8 million, compared to $1.1 million for the
same period last year. Net income rose 386% to $3.4 million, or $0.31 per share, compared to $0.7
million for the same period last year.

Revenue for the fiscal year ended September 30, 1996 was $47.7 million, up 56% from $30.5 million
recorded in fiscal 1995. Operating loss for fiscal 1996 was $11.0 million (including $22.8 million of
purchase accounting adjustments), and compares to operating income for fiscal 1995 of $3.5 million.
Net loss for fiscal 1996 was $6.9 million (including $13.6 million of after-tax purchase accounting
adjustments), and compares to net income for fiscal 1995 of $2.1 million.

The Company conducted an initial public offering of its common stock on October 9, 1996.

Splash Technology, headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, develops, produces, and markets
open-platform color servers that provide an integrated link between desktop computers and digital
color laser copiers. These multifunction color systems provide high-quality, high-speed, networked
color printing, as well as image scanning, image manipulation, and photocopying. Splash's products
feature advanced color correction, color calibration, separations support, ease of use, time-saving
workflow functionality, simulation of many color monitors and printing presses, and automatic
correction for certain printing workflow problems.

It reminds me of Wet Seal bought at $4.50 sold at $37.00 Similar loss story with just released dramatic quarter 3 results!
