Mexican Health Secretary Refutes WHO's Bird Flu Claim
Jun 7

Mexican Health Secretary Jorge Alcocer refuted the World Health Organization's (WHO) claim that a man in Mexico died from a new strain of bird flu, specifically the H5N2 variant. Alcocer stated that the man, who was 59 years old and had been bedridden for weeks with diabetes type 2 and kidney failure, died from other causes, mainly kidney and respiratory failure. This contradicts the WHO's announcement of the death as the first known human case of the H5N2 strain. - Grok
