Obviously no one is going to trust LLMs and AI engines that create "black Founding Fathers," They had the dial set to 11, if they bring it back to 6 their deceptions/manipulations would be less noticeable but just as destructive over time. I think you make Elon's case when you bring up China - do you think they, as a country/government, have good intentions or simply the control of information and narratives? I find it amazing that you (a supposed technology guy) have no reservations at all about the future of AI as controlled by hostile governments or corporations. Elon is in a position to raise the alarm, to proceed with caution is simply prudent (GWBush).
