Re <<You don't think Whitmer and Newsom are toxic?>>

I am sure I do not know enough to say.

I do not follow US state politics even as aware such leak through to national same, and I do not really follow U.S. domestic politics except to have smattering of understanding re socio-monetery-financial-econo vectors.

I do know that California is a mess, but do not know who did what when and why.

I actually do not even follow HK politics.

I treat politics as exogenous inputs, predictably volatile as a given.

General impression is that politics move predictably / steadily, methodically / insistently. Neither good nor bad, necessarily, just is, everywhere, constructively or otherwise, with something to do with character of the chosen leader however chosen.
