From the "Don't Judge Until You've Walked a Mile in Their Moccasins" Department:

Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun, Illinois Democrat, gave an unusual answer last week when a reporter asked this question: "If a president committed adultery and then lied about it under oath, should he be impeached and removed from office?"

Mrs. Moseley-Braun replied that she had "never been married, and never committed adultery," and therefore "could not answer that question," Human Events reports.

When reporter Michael Catanzaro pressed for clarification, the senator said: "The standard we have to apply here is the rule of law. The president is not above the law. But he is not below it, either."

Said the reporter: "She then indicated that she had to go to the bathroom and quickly scurried away."

Perhaps while in the bathroom she remembered having been married to Michael Braun from 1973 to 1986, when they were divorced. They produced a son.

Them folks in Washington should start wearing aluminum foil hats. Someone is messin' with their brains.
