Slated for completion by the end of the month, with an on-air date shortly after that, the initial installation will include a 60-seat Tektronix NewStar news automation system with prompting and archiving software. The upgrade will use fiber channel technology, and include a fully mirrored Tektronix Profile video file server, replacing the Betacart tape playout system; a Tektronix EditStar nonlinear editing system; and a Tektronix Grass Valley compact 7000HD routing system.
