New Data Show Migrants Were More Likely to Be Released by Trump Than Biden | Cato at Liberty Blog
Cato Institute

Nov 2, 2023 —

According to new data published last month, the Biden Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has removed a higher percentage of arrested border crossers in its first two years than the Trump DHS did over its last two years. Moreover, migrants were more likely to be released after a border arrest under President Trump than under President Biden.

In absolute terms, the Biden DHS is removing 3.5 times as many people per month as the Trump DHS did. These figures are important for understanding how each administration has carried out border enforcement

Trump had nothing to do with Project 2025, according to them, even though most of the policies laid out in the plan align almost perfectly with what Trump and/or his allies believe in.

Here's a summary of Project 2025..

project2025.org

Here's a summary of the Trump/GOP Platform..

prod-static.gop.com

If you take the time (not long) to read them both, you'll note both the similarities and differences between them. Some of it is dumb, like 2025's proposal to outlaw porn (dream on, LOL) or Trump's idea to execute drug dealers. But much of both, especially regarding economic issues and big government, makes sense.

Check them out and you'll see they're not one and the same. I'd make some changes to both in a more libertarian direction, but that's just me..

Political differences have become more pronounced , for better or worse, and sitting on the fence has become a lonely and uncomfortable position to be in these days..
