Huh!! Did somebody say use weapons of mass destruction to take out weapons of mass destruction ?

United States Nuclear Arsenal

By The Associated Press

The Pentagon does not discuss the size of its tactical nuclear weapons stocks, but arms control experts say the United States has just over 1,000 weapons -- 325 W-80 warheads mounted on Tomahawk cruise missiles that could be fired from attack submarines and about 700 B-61 tactical nuclear bombs.

The Navy in 1991, at President Bush's direction, removed the nuclear-tipped Tomahawks from its warships.

The B-61 bombs are stored in Europe and the United States. The B-61-11, developed to hit deeply buried Soviet command centers, was the weapon officials probably had in mind as they considered options against Iraq. <----------Serious ? My jaw drops...
