Relevant Post (RP)

Re: 1. Posting Format (old business)
2. Suggestion to compile a questionnaire for Shareholders Meeting
(new item).

To All,

In the interest of efficiency, speed, and keeping the peace, I have
a couple of suggestions:

1. Format of Posts:

When posting, it may be helpful to everyone to state not only if the post is relevant or irrelevant (on/off topic).

This of course it has already been suggested, this merely repeats it.

In addition, we could put a "subject line" such as the one I have put above.

The purpose of this would be that may be the subject matter being discussed could be an old business item, or something that it has already discussed extensively, but a new question has come up, or whatever the situation may be.

The benefit is that the reader immediately can see what the post will be about and can either "next-it" or read it.

Also, if you have a word processor, you may create a "form" that contains your SI "memo-post" format, write your business, then if you so wish, spell-check it and edit it at the same time.

Finally, you select and copy your post from the word processor and paste it to the SI "response/submit" window, (provided they are compatible), and voil  you have your post nicely, (and efficiently), presented.

2. Suggestion: For the benefit of those "ftelers" that will not be attending the Shareholders Meeting, a questionnaire with agreed upon questions and concerns could be put together, (with a specific limit i.e.: 10 or 20 items, or whatever is appropriate).

This questionnaire could be either e-mail to Ms. West or to a specific member of the Ftel "proletariat", that would in turn take it to the meeting and present the questionnaire to Mr. Peters and/or the Board.

Certainly any additional suggestions and/or additions are welcome.

Given the fact that x y zebra is a mere program located around several computers around the world, zebra would not be able to compile the questionnaire, nor be the carrier of same.

Regrettably, the team of programmers that put zebra together never thought of such possibility, so the technology is not, shall we say "up to par".

In fact, the possibilities of suggestions such as this one, is the confirmation that there still are a number of bugs in the zebra project.

Why? This suggestion is proof that zebra has a big mouth and sometimes acts outside of the pre-designed parameters and it is obvious that initiative coupled with a big mouth can be indeed a dangerous combination.

So regrettably (again), zebra would not be able to do the compiling given its design flaws.

However, no doubt that out in Ftel cyberspace, there must be zillions of willing statisticians that would love to do such an entertaining task! No doubt about it!

Thanks for reply. I would hate to have you and your vocabulary anywhere but on my side!

>> In this case, the secret zebra project was designed to detect and indeed attack idiots as its prime target, however the list of "second choice targets" is extensive, I am certain that you are aware by now who would be those targets.<<

I just assumed your "exclude button" comment was meant for me. Your above comment was posted last night immediately following my post in which I poked fun at the recent wine conversations between yourself, Vic and Jack.

I like the idea of the "topic title" if we all agree to try it. I'm not keeping count, but it appears from the posts that the votes are an overwhelming "yes" to keeping the serious stuff, as well as the clutter, all on the same thread. Anything to speed up the reading of these posts would help (although I'm as guilty as the next guy for cluttering up the place). I rarely log on during the weekend and as of late I need to devote about and hour each Monday morning to catch up on all the posts.

Like I stated earlier, I'll play lemming just like the next guy and go with the flow. I'm still one of the newer kids on the block so whatever everyone decides is fine with me.

Thanks for fighting the good fight!

- Pat

p.s. What the hell is "bladderbla" anyway?
