I was born in SF, grew up in Daly City, the low cost suburb on its South side where there was no majority race in my high school (Whites were about 40%) and went to college and lived in Berkeley for four years. After voting in Berkeley where "street people" were given free roam way back in the 1970s... I vowed to NEVER buy a home or live in Berkeley, San Francisco or Palo Alto if I had a choice.

I almost bought a home in Palo Alto, there are enough Libertarians there to keep it somewhat sane, but I'm much happier living in Los Altos, a few houses and a creek from Palo Alto. The trouble here is liberals, backed by builders who want all that "affordable housing" money, are trying to drive the moderates out of local politics.

I'm pretty happy here otherwise.

What is AMAZING is how Trump doesn't talk about Harris's father who taught Marxist economics at Stanford and was honored as emeritus professorship. She has mentioned the kids avoided her when she visited her father but my guess is most parents at the time feared Papa was a communist and didn't want to be associated with communists... if there was any avoidance. I know from personal experience that most of us kids at the time loved having many "black friends" as it proved we were not racists, loved the music, and were cool hence my belief it was the commie ties.

Sadly, I think race relations now are worse than when I was in high school and a lot of it is resentment by new immigrants from Asia over the special treatment some minorities get who didn't take advantage of it and are still demanding more.

upGood Morning Breeze,

No Doubt about that.

My Sister attended Cornell in Utica NY, then Berkeley in Ca, then UCLA Ca.

She now volunteers for the County Democrat Party. She supported Hillary, Joe, and now Kamala.

My parents wouldl spin in their grave if they knew that.

Democrats are so interested in getting everyone to vote, yet my sister would not take my mom to vote.

A neighbor picked her up and took the 90 year old to the voting location.

Her head has been screwed on wrong after all of those years of liberal indoctrination.

Those types think that if you have been successful in creating personal wealth, you have cheated some one or broken the law.

All of her friends are highly educated and reek of jealousy when they see someone who has made his own money via hard and passionate work.

Universities and their highly self opinionated professors, blow so much smoke up the students butts that they are often ruined for life.

It is very sad to see.

My sister tested out in high school to have a very high IQ. My parents subsequently wanted only the best universities and really spent a huge amount of their income to enable her attendance.

I on the other hand got b+'s and A's but excelled in sports.

My Dad who was in ROTC during college was immediately drafted upon graduation. He was in Patton's Third Army for 4 and 1/2 years. He was a Captain upon an honorable discharge after the war and was decorated with 2 purple hearts and 5 Bronze Stars.

He insisted that I attend a Military Academy. I was chosen to be one of Wisconsin's two Primary Candidates for the Air Force Academy. I was ordered to show up at Zion IL Great Lakes Naval Station for a physical. Being a Jock I tested out with flying colors EXCEPT I failed 8 of fourteen color blind tests. They thought i was trying to flunk out and held me there for several days and retested me. I blew the same 8 tests and washed out.

I really wanted to go to Madison.

I reapplied to GMI and was accepted for the next year.

After having attended a Badger football game in Camp Randall many years later, I knew my Dad was correct. I never would have graduated from Madison. Way too many great looking blondes and beer at every corner. I wouldn't have stood a chance, far too many distractions. LOL

If you have time, could you update the chart on XOM.

It looks to be ready to pop up over the top line of sideways triangle that peaked out at its high of $123.75 on April 12th 2024.

Thanks for all you do here!

Bob
