To All:

Here is an email I sent to USA Today this evening. While I am a BAAT supporter I am not a starry-eyed dreamer. I am a realist and a logician. The tone of the recent press (especially from this newspaper) has concerned me; the stories today have infuriated me.

I think everyone should take the opportunity to mail USA Today. Make them aware that this is nto a nation of idiots to be manipulated at their pleasure.

As a follower of BAT International I would like to point out some specious logic in your most recent article concerning the BAT car and it's fuel efficiencies.
Prior to my remarks I would like to point out that I have owned stock in this company
since November of 1997. My holdings until one week ago were
500 shares; I then purchased another 1000 shares. As may be obvious
by these numbers my life is not going to be changed if BAAT
reachs 3 or 4 or 10 dollars per share or goes broke.

I have read your coverage with what I believe to be an unbiased eye. Many of your
points concerning penny stocks, market makers and hype are absolutley right on.
Mr. LaStella's habit of internet chat is decidedly a bad policy.
I must say again that many of your points are accurate.

While many of your facts are on target, the tone of your stories
has been universally negative. You have sensationalized
and dramatized. You have reported partial facts and inuendo.
I have not written until I read the story today.

How in the name of heaven can you justifiably list the name
of a Utah attorney investigated for non-BAAT related fraud
and infer that he has something to do with the current situation?
Any news organization even attempting balanced information would
have either (a) omitted the reference to Mr. Orr or (b) listed
all of the stock certificate, financial materials and documentary
contents of the office. You should be ashamed of this obvious
attempt at guilt by association.

Secondly, comparing the GM, Honda, Ford and Chrysler concept cars to the
BAAT car is a classic example of specious logic. The comparison of expensive developmental
product from major manufacturers with a modification of a production
engine and automobile is invalid. You might just as well compare
the performance of a Boeing or Airbus to a space shutle. Certainly in many
areas the space vehicle would make the commercial products look
inferior. BAAT has an appeal to many investors (and non-investors) because it holds
a promise of massive increases in efficiency with EXISTING technology
within ACHIEVABLE budgets.

The report(s), editors and publishers should be thoroughly ashamed.
Using your public trust as a bully pulpit to beat up on this company
is simply yellow journalism at it's worst. Has William Randolph Hearst been
resurrected? Show a bit of both sides of the coin if possible;
that is if your automaker masters will allow you.

PS How many major concept cars are on the road today, compared
with the number of GEO Metros?
