I usually get them at Costco for the extra warranty but now they are so cheap at Amazon and with Prime I get 5% back and quick shipping... I don't even bother keeping a spare.

All you do is plug them into the HDMI port on the side of your laptop. I have a 4K laptop and laptop screen so I can use it to work on the road, but my monitors are 1K which is all you really need. I may get my next laptop with 1K just so the transition across 3 screens is smoother since I run the 4K at 250X so I can read the text.

I'm currently using an LG 28" as my main and you can get a 27" with the same "3-Side Virtually Borderless Design" and ports for HDMI or Old style video for $99

IF you are using a Windows 10 laptop, you just plug the monitor in and go...

My older 27" Samsung is starting to go... sometimes dims a bit... so I'd replace it for that $99 one if in a rush... $100 is noise.
