Thanks James and Rob and all: Rob it looked like as if I was asking those questions. cus i had the same questions while i was going thro' the posts.. That's scary....now what r u thinking...-vbg- If this is the pace of auctioning...i guess we have to wait until the bid comes to atleast 60-65mil or ~$8.00 a pop to equate for cvus's current price...TIA shrini

Rob,

I am basing the $25 per pop estimate on the precedent set in the PCS auction three years ago. At that time, the bidders in the A- and B-block auctions paid an average of $15.54 per pop. C-block participants, who only received a 25 percent discount -- as opposed to the 45 discount given to WNP -- wound up bidding an average of $39.88 per pop.

Given that CVUS has 1150 MHz of spectrum and the PCS licenses were for only 30 MHz, I think that a $25 per pop estimate is conservative.
