Yep,

RuZZia has to keep anticipating an invasion of the Crimean peninsula, so they can't easily pull troops or precious air defenses from there.

As proven by recent events Russia doesn't have the troops, equipment to support their entire border with Ukraine. Especially to the north soft underbelly of their country.

Poor Crimea, Russia's Black naval forces pretty much out of the game, sitting ducks taken out.

Kersh bridge will eventually be taken down again.

Vulnerable

Meanwhile up north Ukraine's F-16's will bait and take down from long range (50 plus miles) Russia's bombers and fighters trying to defend the Kursk region.

Russia just doesn't have anyone like WWII General Zukoff to save the day for them.

Putin is more paranoid than Stalin.
