Newsflash: BBC World Service (short-wave radio) just broadcast a feature on the micro fuel cell in one of their science & technology programs. No mention of the company by name, but a long-ish (5 minutes perhaps) interview with Hockaday. Highlights: * prototype: produces several mW for 10 hours from 1 ml alcohol injection * "we made thousands of these devices until we got one that works well" * target: "beta-test device" one year from now * manufacturing cost about $5 per cell I don't know if any of this is new information... - nic
